Inspired by the time-tested “car test,” Tone Scout helps engineers check how a mix translates outside the controlled studio environment—whether that’s in the car, on headphones, or through another everyday playback system. Import a mix, inspect live level and spectrum data, make temporary EQ adjustments, compare A/B choices, and bounce a processed reference copy. • Import WAV, AIFF, AAC, and MP3 audio files from Files, AirDrop, or cable transfer • Organize mixes into sessions and folders • Monitor live spectrum or bar-style frequency analysis • View stereo Peak, RMS, true-peak, LUFS, K-System, and stereo-correlation meters • Track true-peak clip events with timestamps • Audition mixes in mono • Shape a reference with Parametric/Shelving EQ or a 10-band Graphic EQ • Compare EQ choices with A/B settings, bypass, and reusable presets • Bounce multiple processed reference versions • Keep sessions and original audio files intact while experimenting with EQ Tone Scout works with audio files you import.
