About

Balance Point is a sunlight-readable handlebar HUD for closed-course motorcycle training. It measures chassis pitch on private land or a motocross track, the same way a lap timer measures a track day. It is for closed-course use only and is not for use on any public road. Mount the phone in portrait with the screen toward you. Sit on the bike, calibrate, and that posture becomes zero. Every angle after that is measured from where you actually ride, using fused gravity only, so steering does not contaminate the reading. THE HUD - A huge pitch readout you can read in daylight at a glance - A green window around your target angle: blue below it, red past it - A lead marker showing where the angle lands a third of a second from now, so it goes red before you do and tells you to ease off early - Haptics only, no sound, because gloves and wind win BALANCE POINT TIME The clock that matters counts the seconds you spend inside the green window, not merely how long the front wheel was up. It runs live under the loft timer, banks when you touch down, and keeps your best. AFTER THE RUN Nobody reads a screen mid-run, so every run gets a card the moment the wheel lands: time at the balance point, how long you were up, and your peak angle. The session list keeps the rest of the day. TRAIN — SIMULATOR, NO MOTORCYCLE TRAIN is the same target and window on this phone, with no motorcycle and no public road. Throttle and brake under your thumbs, so you can feel how little input holds the window before you are anywhere near a bike. It is not a riding lesson. SET YOUR TARGET Enter bike type, engine size, and your weight and height for a starting angle, then trim it by feel. LEARN TGT can watch for a steady loft on a closed throttle and suggest one, and it never changes your target until you tell it to. ALSO IN THE APP - A guided first setup: mount, bike and rider, baseline, then practice - HELP explains every angle, colour, clock and stat in plain language - Metric or imperial - Stats need a long press to reset, so a gloved knuckle cannot wipe a best - A prompt to re-calibrate when the baseline is from another day Defaults suit a 450 motocross bike with a 93 kg rider. Target, window and gate are all adjustable. CLOSED COURSE ONLY This is a training display, not a safety device. It has no connection to the motorcycle: it cannot apply throttle or brake, and it will not keep the bike up. It does not replace skill or protective gear, and it does not make anything legal that was not. Never use it on public roads, streets, or anywhere this riding is illegal. Private land or a closed course that permits it, full helmet and armour, 18 or older. There are no leaderboards and nothing is shared — your times stay on your phone.Read more
