About

Where the sauce is made. Keep every recipe in one book, plan the week, and let the shopping list write itself. The same book for everyone in the house. SAVE EVERY RECIPE Paste a link, photograph a page of a cookbook, send a screenshot, or just describe the dish. It comes back as a proper recipe, with ingredients and steps you can cook from. A recipe belongs to the family by default, or to you alone if you would rather, and anyone in the house can leave a note on it. Any recipe can be sent to someone outside the family as a plain web page, whether or not they have the app. ARRANGE THE WEEK Drag dinners onto the days. Push Thursday's to Saturday when the week turns. Leftovers count as a night, and so does eating out. Mark a night cooked when it is, and the record keeps itself. THE LIST WRITES ITSELF Your shopping list builds from the plan, organised by aisle, topped up from the pantry staples you keep, and carrying over whatever you did not get last week. Everyone in the house watches it tick off as it happens. COOK HANDS-FREE One step at a time on a dark page, the screen kept awake, the ingredients for that step where you can see them. Say "next" with your hands in the flour and it turns the page. Say "repeat" and it reads the step back to you. Timers belong to the step that started them, so several can run at once without you keeping track, and they keep counting on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island after you put the phone down. ASK WHISP Whisp reads your book, your plan, your pantry and what you cooked last month. Ask what to do with the salmon that is defrosting and it searches your recipes, scales the one you pick, swaps what you are out of, writes the rest onto the list and puts it on Thursday. A RECORD OF WHAT YOU CAN COOK Every recipe is filed against the techniques, ingredients, cuisines and equipment it uses. Cook it and those are struck into your book as badges, each with a short piece on what the thing actually is. Beside them sits the plain record: what was cooked, when, by whom, and what you thought of it. KNOW WHAT IT SHOULD COST The Saucery watches supermarket prices on the ingredients you actually cook with, keeps their history, and tells you whether this week's deal is one. It reads Woolworths, Pak'nSave and New World, and you pick the store you shop at, because the two Foodstuffs banners price store by store. This part is New Zealand only for now. ON EVERY SCREEN One family, one collection. Read the whole book on a laptop, open a recipe on the phone in your hand, cook at the bench. It is the same book wherever you are standing. FREE TO KEEP Twenty recipes, the week's plan, the shopping list, cook mode, the whole family, the cooking record and the badges. No card, and no expiry. SAUCERY PASS Unlimited recipes, everything Whisp does, recipe importing and the grocery prices. Every new family gets the first seven days, with no card. Saucery Pass is NZ$4.99 a month or NZ$39.99 a year, in your local currency at the price shown before you buy. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. It renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of that.
