About

Eat with someone. Some people at UCLA cook. Some can't or don't. One cooks, the other comes over. Hazel arranges a home cooked meal between two people at UCLA. Signing in needs a UCLA Google account. If you cook You show the meals you make and your kitchen. A guest joins you for a meal, and you pick who comes over. If you don't cook You look at one cook's meals at a time. Tap one, write a note, join. If they say yes, you agree a time between you. What a meal is A meal is 45 minutes. What you can and cannot eat is settled between you and the cook. Cooking for one person is a chore. Cooking for two is not. A cook gets someone at their table and a reason to make the thing they are good at. A guest gets a meal a person made. Money There is no money in Hazel. Nothing changes hands. Who can use it You need a UCLA Google account and you need to be 18 or older. Hazel does not ask whether you are enrolled. UCLA only for now. Before you go Use your judgment, tell someone where you are going, and leave if you feel unsafe. Either person can decide not to go ahead, at any point and for any reason. What Hazel keeps Hazel never reads your device location. Hazel has no advertising and does not sell or share your data. Joseph Kim-Lee runs Hazel on his own.
