About
Break the automatic tap. Intentional is a timed app blocker that inserts a real, unskippable countdown before access to distracting apps. When you try to open a protected app, Apple’s Screen Time shield appears. Tap “Open Intentional” and the chosen app remains blocked while the pause timer runs. When it ends, choose why you are opening the app and start a limited access window—or stop and keep it blocked. A TIMER BETWEEN IMPULSE AND ACCESS The countdown cannot be skipped. Set the pause length that gives you enough time to notice the impulse before deciding what to do. OPEN FOR A REASON Reply to someone, look something up, or take a short break. Use the built-in reasons or create your own. A personal reminder can bring you back to what matters while you wait. AUTOMATIC, PER-APP REBLOCKING Each temporary unlock has its own timer. Only the app you chose becomes available, and Intentional uses Apple’s Screen Time system to block it again when the access window ends—even if Intentional is closed. You can also block it again early. SCHEDULE EACH APP YOUR WAY Protect apps all day or create weekday, weekend, and overnight windows. Configure different pause lengths, access durations, and schedules for individual apps. Save routine profiles and switch between them as your day changes. SEE YOUR CHOICES, NOT YOUR ACTIVITY Review on-device history of unlock requests, reasons, and blocking changes. Intentional does not inspect what you do inside other apps. PRIVATE BY DESIGN No account. No ads. No tracking. Your selected apps, settings, reasons, and history stay on your device and are never sent to a server. Built for iPhone and iPad. Screen Time permission is required. Less autopilot. More intention.Read more
