About
CinéFile is the record of everything you've watched, built by swiping. DEAL A DECK A deck is 100 shows, one card at a time. Swipe right for Seen, left for Not seen, up for Binge-worthy. Two keys under the deck cover Tempted (you want to watch it) and Some (you started it and never finished). Ten minutes in, you have a hundred answers on the record. Your first two decks are the shows everyone knows. From the third deck on, every deck is cut from your own record, so the cards lean toward what you actually watch, with room left for the show you'd never have searched for. THE RECORD Everything you've answered lives in your library, sorted into rooms: Seen, the ones you love, Tempted, Some, your scored shows, the full month-by-month ledger. Score any show from 1 to 100 and leave a line. Turn a card over for the cast, the years, the TMDB score and, where a critic has scored it, the CinéFile score. The Bookshelf shows your Seen years as spines on a shelf. NOW WATCHING Tell CinéFile what you're watching and it keeps your place: episodes ticked, the next one waiting, seasons laid flat, "I'm caught up" in one tap. It works the same for a show airing weekly and a show from 2004 you're finally getting through. THE FORECAST A week-by-week view of what's coming for the shows on your record: new episodes, returning seasons, premieres. The Hype shows what's on the way that isn't on your record yet. Tap Tempted and it appears in your forecast the day it airs. Home Screen widgets put tonight and this week on your phone without opening the app. FRIENDS Find friends by name or handle. See how closely your records match, which shows you both love, and what's on their shelf that you haven't logged. Send a show to a friend, play a deck together as a group and reveal the answers side by side, or ask the clerk, inside the app, what to watch next based on your record alone. YOUR RECORD IS YOURS No account. Your record lives on your phone with a durable copy for safekeeping. A transfer code moves it to a new phone. Settings can delete it everywhere in one step. Nothing on the record is sold or shared. Show art, scores and details come from TMDB, with TVmaze where TMDB has none. This application uses TMDB and the TMDB APIs but is not endorsed, certified, or otherwise approved by TMDB.Read more
