About

Most of the people who look out for someone never speak to each other. A neighbour notices the curtains are still closed. A carer notices she was slower on the stairs. A daughter two hours away notices she sounded tired on the phone. Each of them decides it was probably nothing, because on its own it was. Halora is where those sentences go. HOW IT WORKS Everyone who visits leaves a short note about how the person seemed. Speak it or type it, in the hallway, in under a minute. Nobody is asked to score anyone or fill in a form. Halora reads those notes together. When two people mention the same thing without knowing the other did, it says so, and asks the people who would know whether it is normal. Nothing is escalated automatically and nothing is passed to anyone who was not already there. A weatherproof marker by the front door means a visiting carer does not have to know whose record it is first. They scan it, say what they noticed, and go. WHO SEES WHAT Access is set per person by whoever coordinates the circle. A neighbour can be given nothing but a way to leave a message. Family see what the person has chosen to share. A district nurse sees the full picture. The person being looked after can be given sight of their own record, and can be given the right to remove things written about them. Every read is recorded, so the question "who has seen this?" always has an answer. Halora is made by Actualised Living Limited.Read more

Halora now works without a signal. Your people, their records and your messages are kept on the phone, so the app opens and shows them even with no connection. Anything you write with no signal sends itself when the signal comes back, and keeps the time you wrote it. You can now lock Halora with a PIN, with Face ID underneath it if you want. It is off unless you turn it on. Also: change your name and password, pull down to refresh, day dividers in messages so you can tell this afternoon from last March, a reminder half an hour before something in the week starts, and a proper layout on iPad.…
