FlightSix brings the familiar six-pack flight instrument layout to your iPhone. The app combines data from your device’s motion, location, compass and pressure sensors to present: • GPS ground speed • Attitude indication • GPS or barometric altitude • Turn coordination • Magnetic heading • Vertical speed Instrument Test mode lets you control every display manually, making FlightSix useful for demonstrations, familiarisation and learning how conventional flight instruments respond. It is not certified aviation equipment and must not be used for navigation, aircraft control or safety-critical decisions. GPS speed is ground speed, not indicated airspeed. In pressurised aircraft, barometric altitude represents cabin pressure altitude rather than the aircraft’s actual altitude.
