About

A free, offline sudoku with one new puzzle a day, the same for every player in the world. Five levels, Easy to Evil, each one graded by the technique it actually demands. Nine is a sudoku you can trust. Every sudoku is graded by the technique it actually demands, not by how many squares are blank. When Nine says Expert, you will need an expert's move, not just a grid with fewer clues. Five levels, from Easy to Evil, each one verified strictly harder than the last: Easy asks for the simplest logic, Evil will not resolve without a real X-Wing. ONE SUDOKU A DAY, THE SAME FOR EVERYONE Every player in the world gets the identical daily sudoku, resetting at midnight UTC. Your time is comparable to anyone else's, so today's ladder means something: see how you rank worldwide, right next to your own personal best for that difficulty. Miss a day and the streak breaks, so keep it going. HINTS THAT TEACH Stuck? A hint fills the next square you could have deduced yourself, and names the technique that proves it: naked single, hidden pair, pointing pair, X-Wing. Most sudoku apps just hand you the number. This one shows you the reasoning, so the next grid gets a little easier on its own. Each hint you take adds a small time penalty to your recorded and ranked time, so speed and honesty both still count. EVERYTHING A SUDOKU PLAYER EXPECTS - Pencil marks, with candidates - Unlimited undo, exact down to the pencil marks it restores - Duplicate highlighting you can turn off - A timer you can hide - Best times and win rate, tracked separately for every difficulty - Auto-save: close the app mid-sudoku, come back days later, resume on the exact same square - Export your whole history, times, streak, saved puzzle, to a file, and carry it to a new phone BUILT TO READ WELL A bold, high-contrast board designed so the digits stay legible on a phone at arm's length. Thirteen languages, following your device automatically, nothing to configure. Free, with ads.Read more

Nine now speaks thirteen languages. German, Italian, Turkish, Hindi and Arabic have been added, and the app still follows your device on its own. Arabic is laid out right to left throughout. The board and the number pad are not: a sudoku grid reads the same in every language.
