About
An alarm you cannot turn off until your phone has watched you do something. Every other alarm ends with a button. A button is easy to press half asleep, and that is the whole problem. iWake ends with proof: push-ups counted by the motion sensor, squats, a walk measured in real steps, maths you have to get right, or standing in your kitchen with the camera pointed at it. The alarm stops when the sensor is satisfied, and not before. It rings through Silent mode and through Focus, because it is built on AlarmKit — the same system Apple's own Clock app uses. Works with Siri: "Set an iWake challenge alarm." WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU • Push-ups and squats, counted by motion or by the camera • A walk, measured in steps you actually take • Maths, at a difficulty you choose • A room scan — get to the kitchen or the bathroom and show the camera • Shuffle, which picks the task so you cannot pick the easy one IT DOES NOT TAKE YOUR WORD FOR IT The sensors are there to be honest, not decorative. Shaking the phone does not count as push-ups. Standing still does not count as walking. Put it down mid-task and the alarm comes back. YOUR WAKE HISTORY Every morning the app watched, kept as a record: when the alarm rang, when you proved you were up, how long that took, which task did it, and how all of it moved over weeks and months. Not a streak and not a score — a record, with the nights it has no reading for left visibly empty rather than filled in. NOTHING LEAVES YOUR PHONE No account. No server. No analytics. iWake makes no network request of its own — there is no address it could send anything to. Your alarms and your wake record are files on your device, and deleting the app deletes them. The camera and motion sensors are read only while a task is running, and what they see becomes a yes or a no on the phone. No image is taken, saved or sent. FREE, AND PAID Three days of everything when you install. After that the tasks, the wake history and backup need iWake Pro — one payment, not a subscription — and ordinary alarms stay free forever, with no limit on how many. Your alarm never stops ringing because you did not pay. Available in 28 languages — Arabic, Armenian, Bengali, Chinese (Simplified, Traditional and Hong Kong), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Hebrew, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Norwegian, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, Thai, Turkish, Urdu and Vietnamese — including the alarm's own lock-screen buttons.Read more
