StayLatch

StayLatch is the guest app for Highfield Apartments. It replaces the key collection, the key safe and the wait for someone to meet you. SIGN IN WITH THE ACCOUNT YOU ALREADY HAVE There is no sign-up. Use the same email and password as the booking website. If you have booked a stay, you already have an account. YOUR STAYS, IN ORDER The stay you are on comes first, then what is coming up, then where you have been. Each stay shows the address, a map and directions, your check-in and check-out dates, and the moment your door code stops working. UNLOCK AT THE DOOR Open your stay, tap Unlock, and StayLatch checks three things before it shows your door code: • Your booking is confirmed. • You are standing at the building. A location check, taken only at that moment — StayLatch never asks for background location and never tracks where you go. • Your face matches the ID document you already verified when you booked. The selfie is taken once, checked, and used for nothing else. Only then does the code appear. Your access begins the moment you confirm your face. BUILT TO GIVE AWAY AS LITTLE AS POSSIBLE The decision to release a code is made by the server, never by the phone, so a code cannot be pulled out of the app. Your sign-in is held in the iPhone's own keychain rather than ordinary app storage, because it is a working key to somebody's flat. Location is read once per unlock, in the foreground, and is not stored as history. SET BY YOUR HOST Your host decides how close to the building you must be, how early before check-in the code turns on, how late on departure day it turns off, and whether the location and face checks apply at all.
