Raat is where to eat, according to the people you trust. Star ratings from strangers tell you what the average person thought. Raat tells you what your friends thought. Rate the places you have been, bring your friends into your raat, and get suggestions for where to go next, based on the taste of people you actually know. HOW IT WORKS • Rate a place in seconds: a score, a few words, and a photo if you like. • Build your raat: the circle of friends whose taste you trust. Find them through your contacts or invite them with a link. • Ask Match: pick what you are in the mood for and see which places your circle recommends. • Bring your history: import the places you saved or reviewed on Google Maps, so your list is useful from day one. • Explore the map: restaurants, cafés and bars around you, with the places your friends loved on top. WHY RAAT • Honest ratings: nobody can buy their way up. • You choose who you trust: add people to your raat and remove them whenever you like. • Your words stay inside your raat. Your profile is public or private, just like on Instagram, and at a venue you only see names of people you follow. WHERE Raat covers restaurants across the Netherlands and abroad. Raat is in Dutch for now; English is coming. Raat is free. Your phone number is only used to sign in, and you can delete your account from within the app at any time.
