Lorem – Markdown Notes

Lorem is a local-first Markdown app for documenting and organizing things. Every note is a plain .md file in a folder you choose — readable by any editor, today and in twenty years. WRITE • A clean Markdown editor that renders as you type: headings, lists, tasks, tables, code, callouts, footnotes • Link notes with [[wikilinks]] or @mentions and see every backlink • Attach photos, videos, audio and files; play audio in the background • Daily notes with a quick log — also from Shortcuts and the Action button ORGANIZE • Turn a folder into a database: each note is a row, its front matter becomes properties • Table, list, gallery and cover flow views with filters, sorts and groups • Select, date, checkbox, relation and formula properties • Embed a database inside any note YOURS • No account. No analytics. No tracking. • Files live on your device, in a folder you pick • Optional sync through your own private iCloud — the developer can't read it • The same workspace on iPhone, Mac and Windows
