Boat Captain's Companion

Your life on the water - more organized. Boat Captain's Companion does a lot more than log your trips. For your sailing dinghy, super yacht, and everything in between, we'll help keep your vessel's safety gear up to date, documents organized, parts inventory current, manuals at hand, and voyages documented in real time. We'll even track sea time for you and the crew! SAFETY GEAR THAT'S ACTUALLY UP TO DATE Life rafts, EPIRBs, flares, fire extinguishers, PLBs, life jackets — all of it expires. Boat Captain's Companion tracks expiry dates and service intervals for every piece of safety equipment aboard, so you're never caught with gear that's out of date when you need it most. MAINTENANCE, SIMPLIFIED Log maintenance entries across every system on your vessel — engines, generators, watermaker, standing rigging, electronics, and more. Attach photos and receipts. Your entire service history lives in one place, synced across all your devices via iCloud. KNOW YOUR VESSEL INSIDE AND OUT Configure a full inventory of every system aboard — from engines and thrusters to sails and seacocks. Track specs, service intervals, spare parts, and associated documents for each one. TRIP LOG & GPS TRACKING Record every passage. Start a live trip and Boat Captain's Companion records your GPS track automatically, even with the screen off. Review your route afterward, or log trips manually. Your complete voyage history is always at hand. CREW MANAGEMENT & SEA TIME Build a profile for everyone who sails with you. Link to their existing contacts on your phone, store emergency contact information, track sea time, and export it to PDF for official documentation. CHECKLISTS & FLOAT PLANS Create custom checklists for departure, arrival, and everything in between. Generate float plans to share with someone onshore before you leave the dock. DOCUMENTS ON BOARD Scan and store registration papers, insurance certificates, manuals, and other vessel documents directly in the app. Everything syncs to iCloud so it's with you wherever you are. SYNCS ACROSS ALL YOUR DEVICES Your vessel's data syncs seamlessly via iCloud across your iPhone and iPad — backed up and available even when you're offshore. Free to download.
