Stud Finder: Metal Scan

Find studs before you drill — by spotting the metal already in the wall. Stud Finder uses your iPhone magnetometer to detect iron nearby: screws, nails, and pipes. It cannot see wood. A stud is where fasteners line up. Hold the phone parallel to the wall, a finger’s width away. Walk slowly. The needle shows how likely metal is nearby. Calibrate away from the wall, then mark the peak and take it to the drill. A built-in vertical level helps you hang a shelf or TV straight. Sweep slowly and mark the strongest point SUBSCRIPTION Stud Finder offers auto-renewable subscriptions (weekly, with an optional intro week, and yearly) that unlock live wall scans. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
