About

Nox blocks ads and trackers across your whole iPhone — not just in Safari. Games, news apps, shopping apps, free utilities: most of them talk to advertising and tracking companies constantly, in the background, whether or not you see an ad. Nox stops those requests before they leave your phone. EVERYTHING HAPPENS ON YOUR DEVICE The blocklists live on your iPhone. Every decision about every request is made there. Nox has no server. There is nothing to send your browsing to, and nothing to leak. We do not collect, store, or share what you look up — not because we promise not to, but because the app is built so that the information never leaves your phone in the first place. WHAT YOU GET • Blocking across every app, not only the browser • Safari extensions that also remove the empty gaps ads leave behind • Over 300,000 domains from respected community blocklists, updated automatically • A single switch, and sensible defaults • Allow any domain in one tap if something you use stops working WHAT NOX CANNOT BLOCK Nox blocks by domain name, and we would rather tell you where that stops than let you find out. When an app serves its ads from the same address as its content — most video and social apps do — there is no way to separate them without breaking the app. Ads stitched directly into a video stream cannot be removed either. No blocker on iOS can do these things, and any that claims otherwise is overstating what the platform allows. What Nox does very well is the enormous amount of advertising, tracking, analytics and telemetry that comes from somewhere else. On a typical phone that is thousands of requests a day. FOR PEOPLE WHO WANT THE DETAIL Pro adds malware and phishing blocking, protection profiles, per-category control, a searchable log of every blocked request, and your choice of encrypted DNS resolver. Add any blocklist by URL — Pi-hole lists, hosts files, domain lists, Adblock-syntax rules — write your own rules by hand, and inspect exactly why any domain was or wasn't blocked. Ad and tracker blocking itself is free and stays free. The paid plans add visibility and control, never the ability to block an ad. ABOUT THE VPN PERMISSION To filter across every app, Nox runs a small DNS resolver on your device. iOS treats that as a VPN configuration, so it will ask your permission and show a VPN badge. Nox is not a VPN service. Your traffic is not routed through anyone else's servers. Only name lookups pass through Nox, and only on your phone — everything else takes its usual path. SAFARI Safari needs its own switch, in Settings → Apps → Safari → Extensions. Turning on the Nox blockers removes ads and the blank spaces they leave behind. — Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled and can be managed in your Apple account. Nox Pro and Pro+ are auto-renewing subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending. Manage or cancel in your Apple Account settings. Terms of Use: https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy: https://supr.design/nox-privacy-policy.htmlRead more
