SpectralCam

SpectralCam is a new photographic instrument for exploring the world through color, time, depth, and motion—live, before you press the shutter. Choose a Vision and watch it transform the camera preview in real time. Map brightness into editable color gradients, preserve selected areas of original color, create motion echoes and light trails, respond to sound, or use compatible iPhone sensors to reveal space in unfamiliar ways. CAPTURE • Photograph and record video with a live processed preview. • Use familiar lens controls, two-finger zoom, tap focus, and exposure adjustment. • Record dependable 1080p video with sound. • Keep adjusting a Vision while you shoot. • Hide the creative controls when you want an unobstructed camera view. EXPLORE VISIONS • Discover independent Color, Time, Depth, and Motion effects. • Experiment with Time Echo, Strobe Dance, Camera Trails, Time Gradient, depth mapping, motion-responsive effects, and more. • Use Sound Response to let rhythm and environmental sound influence Color and Time effects. • Combine compatible Vision layers within limits designed to protect device performance. CREATE YOUR OWN • Move, add, recolor, reverse, and remove gradient control points. • Use Original / No Gradient nodes to preserve selected tonal ranges. • Adjust effect controls and reset them to their original settings. • Save, name, categorize, rename, delete, import, and share your own Visions. • Organize the built-in library to match the way you work. EDIT YOUR LIBRARY Import photos, videos, and Live Photos without changing the originals. Apply new Visions, adjust their controls, preserve natural colors where you choose, and save the finished work to your photo library. SHARE AND REMIX The optional SpectralCam Gallery connects shared work with the Visions used to create it. Post photographs, videos, and reusable Visions; like and comment on posts; reply to other creators; share discoveries; or Remix another creator’s work into something new. Depth effects and certain camera features depend on the capabilities of your iPhone. SpectralCam’s artistic, speculative, and biologically inspired Visions are creative interpretations rather than scientific measurements.
