About
ROK — Khmer for "to find" — is how you find real-world trails across Cambodia. Every trail is a set of stations hidden in the street, on a café counter, or inside a venue. Each one carries a QR code. Scan it in person and the trail unfolds in Khmer, English or French. KEY FEATURES • Scan a QR code or tap an NFC tag to open a station — no account needed to play • A map shows zones, not answers. An unfound station is a square on the grid, roughly 250 metres across. It only becomes an exact pin once you've found it • A woven cloth fills in square by square as you walk a trail, and freezes as a permanent record once the season ends • Puzzle answers are checked instantly and accept common spelling variants • A shared photo wall on every trail — leave a picture behind for the next person who walks it • Keep what you find. A claimed token is yours, permanently, and you get one page to write about it • Trails run in Khmer, English and French throughout TWO KINDS OF TRAILS Collect trails hide small 3D-printed tokens with host cafés and shops around a city. Scan the code, keep the object. Each token is claimed exactly once — the trail runs for a season and refills for the next one. Quest trails are permanent installations at a single venue: a château, a museum, a temple complex, a pepper farm. Each station poses a puzzle worth one word. Collect every word, assemble the final answer, and redeem it at reception. Nothing is consumed, so the whole trail is there for every visitor, all season. WHY ROK This isn't a screen game layered over a map. Every station is a real object at a real coordinate, placed by a person who wants you to stand in front of it. The app just gets out of the way: scan, read, walk to the next one. PERFECT FOR • Visitors with a few days in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Kampot or Battambang who want a reason to walk a neighbourhood properly • Families looking for something to do together that isn't a screen • Venues — cafés, museums, farms — that want visitors to explore the whole place, not just the entrance • Anyone who likes finding things HOW IT WORKS 1. Open a trail from the app or scan any station's code directly 2. Walk to the zone the map shows you 3. Scan the code, tap the tag, or solve the puzzle on the plaque 4. Keep the object, or collect the word, and move to the next station Trails are free to play. Hosting one — printing tokens, mounting plaques, running a season at your venue — is something any café, museum or farm can set up. A note on how this is built: light, works on ordinary 4G, doesn't track you between stations, doesn't ask for your contacts, and sends no push notifications. TWO KINDS OF TRAILS
Collect trails hide small 3D-printed tokens with host cafés and shops around a city. Scan the code, keep the object. Each token is claimed exactly once — the trail runs for a season and refills for the next one.
