About
Plug an OBD-II adapter into your car and TakenLee turns it into a diagnostic tool you can actually read. LIVE ENGINE DATA RPM, speed, coolant temperature, engine load, throttle position, battery voltage and fuel level, updating as you drive. FAULTS EXPLAINED When the check-engine light comes on, TakenLee reads the code and explains what it means — from a library of 484 codes covering petrol, diesel and hybrid engines. Unknown codes still get an explanation from their code family, so you are never left with a bare P-number. YOUR GARAGE SEES IT TOO Enter your garage's join code once. From then on, every fault your car reports reaches your mechanic the moment it happens, along with the history behind it. No phone call, no describing a noise over the phone. SERVICE THAT KNOWS YOUR MILEAGE Reminders based on distance actually driven, not a date someone guessed. Annual test (MOT) reminders work even with no adapter connected. TRIPS AND FUEL Every drive is logged with distance, duration and fuel consumption. A 0-100 acceleration test is built in. NO PAPERWORK Registration asks for a phone number and a licence plate. Make, model, year, fuel type, colour, VIN and test expiry are pulled automatically from the national vehicle registry. OWNERSHIP VERIFIED The VIN is read from the registry and from the car itself. When the two match, the app knows it is really connected to the car you registered. WHAT YOU NEED An ELM327-compatible OBD-II adapter. On iPhone, Bluetooth LE adapters only — Apple does not permit Bluetooth Classic connections to unlicensed accessories. Most cars from 2001 (petrol) or 2004 (diesel) onward have an OBD-II port. WHAT WE DO NOT COLLECT No location. Trip distance is calculated from engine speed, and the app never asks for GPS permission.Read more
