About

Trope on the Go is the complete system for learning to chant Torah and Haftarah — the traditional cantillation (trope/ta'amei hamikra) used to sing the weekly readings aloud. One focused place for b'nei mitzvah students, adult learners, day school students and the clergy and educators who teach them to practice between lessons. SET IT TO YOUR VOICE Voice Setup learns your comfortable chanting range from a few bars of a tune you already know how to sing. The app's keyboard playback then plays in your key — so whether your voice sits high or low, you practice in a range you can actually sing, with nothing to transpose in your head. HEAR IT SUNG, NOT SYNTHESIZED As you learn the system, every trope sound — plus the words, phrases, and sequences that teach it — is a real recording, not a computer voice. Pick up each melody by ear, the way it's actually chanted. SEE THE MELODY BEFORE YOU SING IT Animated sound maps show exactly where every note lands, syllable by syllable, for any word in your reading — so you're never guessing at the tune. HEAR YOURSELF IN REAL TIME Record & Compare draws your pitch trail against the target notes as you sing — immediate feedback, no waiting for your next lesson. YOUR READING, YOUR WORDS Choose any weekly parashah, Haftarah, or special-occasion Torah reading by date or by name — including triennial cycles, weekday readings, and individual aliyot, with support for custom aliyah divisions. Once you set your reading, the app pulls the words and trope sequences from that reading, so you practice exactly what you'll chant. Or work the full system from a library of 4,000+ words and phrases. LEARN THE WHOLE SYSTEM, IN ORDER Every trope sound is organized from most to least frequent. Start with the handful that cover half of any reading and work outward at your own pace. PRACTICE ON THE REAL TEXT A standard 42-line tikkun view that matches most modern Torah scrolls, plus a Learning Mode with inline transliteration, syllable hyphenation, adjustable spacing, and focus tools for learners at every level. FLASHCARDS THAT ADAPT A spaced-repetition flashcard deck tracks which tropes you've mastered and which need another pass — with a sound map on every card. GAMES THAT MAKE IT STICK Dictation, matching, and sorting games turn trope sounds, shapes, and sequences into something you'll want to review again and again to lock in your learning. CAN'T READ HEBREW YET? An exclusive trope-transliteration view puts the cantillation marks right on the transliteration itself, so you can start chanting while your Hebrew catches up. — — — MEMBERSHIP All new subscriptions include a 7-day free trial. After that, continue to receive full access with a single subscription — Core Monthly ($11.99/month) or Core Annual ($119.99/year) — unlocking everything: all trope sounds, Torah and Haftarah, sound maps, the Tikkun view, pitch feedback, flashcards, games, and the full word library.
