About
Enjoy your music. Half an Ear keeps an ear on the baby. Leave your iPhone near your sleeping baby and listen to music or podcasts on your headphones. Half an Ear watches the room through the phone's microphone. When it hears a sound — a cry, a cough, a thud — it pauses your music (or turns other audio way down) and streams live sound from the room straight to your headphones. Once the room has been quiet again for a little while, your music resumes and monitoring re-arms. You never have to touch your phone. HOW IT WORKS • Start listening, lock the phone, and leave it near the baby — monitoring keeps running in the background • Your music keeps playing at full quality on AirPods or any Bluetooth headphones • When a sound is detected, a soft chime plays, your music pauses (podcasts and other audio duck down), and you hear the room live • After the room is quiet again, your music resumes by itself • Adjustable sensitivity, from "only loud cries" to "every rustle" • Listen-in volume control • Sound never plays through the phone's speaker — it only goes to your headphones, so the baby stays asleep Half an Ear works alongside any audio app — music, podcasts, or audiobooks. No account, no ads, no tracking. The microphone is only used for monitoring while you have it switched on, and nothing is recorded or stored. Please note: Half an Ear is a helper for parents who are nearby, not a medical device, and not a replacement for a dedicated baby monitor or adult supervision.Read more
