About

SaleAlert watches the paid apps you want and tells you when they go on sale. Add an app once. Its price is checked around the clock on our servers, and when it drops below what it normally costs, your phone tells you, along with how much you're saving. WHAT MAKES IT ACCURATE The hard part isn't spotting a price change. It's knowing what counts as cheap. If an app is already discounted the day you add it, that sale price would quietly become the reference, and you would never hear about the next real drop. So SaleAlert asks what the app usually costs (prefilled, and skippable) and also works the answer out for itself over the following weeks, from the price the app has genuinely held. Alerts are measured against that regular price, never against whatever it happened to cost yesterday. WHAT YOU GET • One alert per sale, showing the discount and the old price • Apps that are cheap right now rise to the top of your list as cards • Price history: what it usually costs, its all-time low, how long past sales ran • Tap an alert to go straight to the App Store NO ACCOUNT, NO TRACKING There is no sign-up, no email address, no advertising and no analytics. Your watchlist is tied to an anonymous identifier, and Settings has a button that erases everything held about your device. Prices are checked on our servers rather than on your phone, so alerts arrive whether or not the app is open, but that also means notification permission is required. Without it, SaleAlert can show you prices and nothing more.Read more
