ArtsApp: Arts & Live Paintings

Every masterpiece has a story. ArtsApp tells 537 of them. A pocket gallery of 537 paintings by 52 artists — icons and the Renaissance, Baroque and Romanticism, Impressionism and the twentieth century. Every work comes with the story behind it: who painted it, when, what is happening in it, and where it hangs today. WORKS WITHOUT A SIGNAL Every painting and every text lives on your device. On a plane, on the Tube, in a gallery basement with no reception — the collection opens instantly. Nothing to download, nothing to wait for. PAINTINGS THAT COME ALIVE 55 works move: waves break, clouds drift, candles burn. The same canvas you know from books, only breathing. FIND YOUR WAY IN • 52 artists with biographies and their complete works • 29 movements, from Academicism to Surrealism • 110 gallery and museum collections, from the National Gallery to the Louvre • Search across titles, artists and collections • Favourites — your own selection of the works you want to return to A PAINTING EVERY DAY Every morning a new work appears in the widget on your home screen. Turn on a reminder and the day starts with a painting instead of a feed. ON YOUR WRIST A full Apple Watch app: browse artists, movements and collections, open any painting full screen. A complication puts today's work on your watch face. SEE WHERE IT HANGS Every painting knows its gallery. Open the map and look around the building where the original lives. FOURTEEN LANGUAGES English, Russian, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Ukrainian, Turkish, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and Japanese — titles, biographies and descriptions, not only the interface. ARTSAPP PRO The full collection opens with a subscription: weekly, monthly or yearly. It renews automatically until you cancel it in your Apple ID settings.
