Mass Schedules Philippines

Overview Mass Schedules Philippines is a free, ad-supported mobile app that helps Catholics in the Philippines find nearby churches and look up their Mass schedules, confession times, adoration hours, and parish contact details — anytime, anywhere, even with limited or no internet connection. Purpose The app exists to be a single, reliable pocket companion for Catholic worship in the Philippines: locate a church, see when the next Mass is, know when confession is available, and reach the parish — without hunting through social media posts, printed bulletins, or asking around. The Problem It Solves Mass schedules are scattered and hard to find. Parish schedules live on Facebook pages, posters, and word of mouth — not in one searchable place. The app centralizes them into a browsable directory organized by Highly Urbanized Cities and Provinces. Finding a church while away from home is stressful. Travelers, commuters, and visitors in an unfamiliar city don't know which churches are close by or which has a Mass soon. The Nearby tab uses the device location to show churches sorted by distance on a map or a list, with the next Mass time. Essential parish information is missing in one spot. Beyond Mass times, users need confession schedules, the parish priest, and contact channels (website, email, Facebook, YouTube). The church detail screen brings these together, including special seasonal schedules (Christmas, Holy Week, Ash Wednesday). Connectivity is unreliable in many areas. The app is built offline-first: the Daily Readings tab renders from a same-day local cache, and up to 5 churches can be saved to on-device SQLite for offline access. When offline, the app gracefully restricts to Saved + Readings and re-enables online tabs automatically when a connection returns. Wrong device clocks show the wrong day's readings. Target Audience Practicing Filipino Catholics who attend Mass regularly (including daily Mass and Sunday obligation) and want schedules and readings at their fingertips. Families and parishioners checking Mass and confession times before heading to church. Travelers, commuters, and visitors in unfamiliar cities, regions, or provinces who need the nearest church and its next Mass. Students, youth, and young professionals who want a quick, mobile-first way to keep up with daily readings and parish schedules. Pilgrims and devotees seeking churches and special liturgical schedules. Parish staff and volunteers who want an easy reference for their own and neighboring parishes' schedules. Value It Provides One authoritative place for Catholic worship info in the Philippines — Churches, Mass schedules, confession, adoration, and contacts in a single app. Location-aware discovery — Nearby churches on a map or a distance-sorted list, with an adjustable radius (1–10 km/mi) and km/mile preference. Daily Mass Readings, front and center — The default tab shows the First Reading, Psalm, optional Second Reading, and Gospel, with a customizable font size, available offline. Works offline — Cached daily readings plus up to 5 saved churches mean the app stays useful with weak or no signal; offline mode is handled explicitly and non-intrusively. Fast, trustworthy data — Backed by the apiv3.mass-schedules.com API, with a stale-while-revalidate cache for instant loads and accurate Manila-time date handling. Practical extras — Search, saved-churches management with swipe actions, dark/light theme support, and direct links to email the developer, visit the website, or follow on Facebook. In One Sentence Mass Schedules Philippines is a free mobile companion for Filipino Catholics that answers "Where's the nearest church, and when is Mass?" — combining a location-aware church directory, Mass/confession/adoration schedules, and daily Mass Readings in an offline-capable app.
