Nomad: Bouncer's

Nomad Bouncer is the door app for venues on the Nomad platform. It runs the front of the queue: who is expected, who is inside, what they owe, and how much room is left. Built for the way a club door actually works — mixed parties, a cover charge that changes by night and by entry type, and a queue that does not wait. SCAN AND DECIDE • Scan a guest's Nomad entry pass and see who is in front of you before they reach the rope — membership tier, visit history, and any notes your team has left on them. • Guests your venue has restricted are routed to a manager for approval, instead of leaving a judgement call to one person at 1am. BUILD THE PARTY • One admission, several entry types. A couple, two stags and two ladies is a single party, priced correctly. • Scan friends onto that party as they arrive. Every member earns their own tier's benefit on their own cover — one generous membership never subsidises the rest of the group. • The amount due always comes from the server. The door never does arithmetic on a cover charge, so what is shown is what is owed. TAKE THE COVER • Record what the venue's own terminal took — cash, card or UPI. Nomad does not process this money; the app records it so it reconciles at cash-up. • The cover becomes the guest's spending credit once they are inside. KEEP THE ROOM HONEST • A live headcount against the venue's capacity, so the number on the door is the number in the building. • Tonight's bookings, with times and party sizes. • Mark guests departed as they leave, so the count comes back down. RUN THE SHIFT • Clock in and out on the door. Every collection is stamped to the open shift, so the manager's reconciliation adds up at the end of the night. • A running log of the night — admissions, flags and totals — ready to submit at clock-out. FLAG AND REMEMBER • Record an incident against a guest with a severity and a description, visible to the rest of your team. Guests can appeal to the venue from their own app. WORKS WHEN THE SIGNAL DOES NOT • Doors are basements. The app keeps working through connection drops and retries safely — a party is never opened twice, and a guest is never charged twice.
