Inspex

Inspex turns a site walk into a finished defect report before you get back to the ute. Photograph a defect, dictate the note while you are standing in front of it, and let Inspex assemble the report. No clipboard, no retyping at the office. HOW IT WORKS • Snap the defect — add extra angles if one photo will not tell the story • Speak your note — on-device transcription turns it into text • Mark it up — draw straight on the photo to point at the problem • Set severity and status — Critical through to Info, Open through to Closed • Export — a branded PDF, Word or Excel report, ready to send AI SMARTDETECT Point AI SmartDetect at a photo and it describes what it sees, flags the likely defect, and raises possible non-compliances against the standards you selected. It is scoped to the way you actually work. Choose your discipline — Electrical, Mechanical, Hydraulic, Fire, Civil, Structural or General — and it reports defects within that scope instead of everything in frame. Choose your standards and it assesses against those and no others. Australian Standards and the National Construction Code are covered across all disciplines, including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 61439, AS 1668, AS 4254, AS 1670, AS 2118, AS 2419, AS/NZS 3500, AS 3600, AS 4100 and many more. AI SmartDetect is advisory triage to assist a qualified inspector. It is not a compliance certification, a photo alone cannot establish code compliance, and every finding should be verified on site. Findings stay in the app — they never appear in an exported report unless you put them there yourself. BUILT FOR SITE • Works offline — projects, photos and notes live on your device, no signal needed • GPS location on each defect, if you want it • Your branding on every report: logo, company name, accent colour • Filter by status, bulk-edit, and delete in one pass • Back up and restore everything to a single file WHO IT IS FOR Building and construction inspectors, site supervisors, building surveyors, and quality and safety professionals running defect, handover and progress inspections.
