first year: a daily baby book

one day, one little drawing. a baby's first year is 365 days. this app gives you a page with 365 small dots on it, one for each day. fill a day in and a hand-drawn doodle grows where the dot was. by the end, their whole year is a single page you can hold in one hand. that is the entire idea. WHAT A DAY HOLDS — a photo, kept as a polaroid with your note handwritten on it — a few words, or a lot of them — a drawing you pick, in a colour you pick WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU MISS A DAY nothing. the dot stays where it is, quiet, and you can fill it in whenever you like. a week later. a year later. there are no streaks, no percentages, and nothing anywhere that counts up the days you let go past. this is a keepsake, not a habit tracker. IT ALL STAYS ON THIS PHONE no account. no sign-up. no cloud. every photo and every word is written to your device and nowhere else. we cannot read any of it, because we never receive any of it. there is nothing to delete from a server, because nothing was ever put on one. the only thing that leaves is an anonymous count of taps, so we can see what needs fixing. never a name, a date, a note or a photo. you can switch it off in settings. ONE GENTLE REMINDER, IF YOU WANT ONE off unless you turn it on, once a day, at a time you choose. it skips any day you have already written, because being reminded to do something you just did is nobody's idea of help. first year is yours to keep. an optional subscription supports the app; every day you have already filled in stays yours regardless, for nothing. subscriptions renew until cancelled. cancel any time in your app store account. terms of use: https://www.first-year.site/terms.html privacy policy: https://www.first-year.site/privacy.html
