About
SquawkIt keeps a maintenance record for everything you own — an aircraft, a car or motorcycle, a bike, a boat, a home — in one app that works wherever you are, with or without a signal. Records are written to your device first, so SquawkIt works fully offline. Note a squawk after landing, log an oil change in the driveway, or check whether the furnace service is due without waiting on a connection. When you're signed in and back online, everything syncs automatically across every device you use. Every Thing speaks its own language Pick what you're maintaining and SquawkIt adapts: an airplane has an airframe, engines and propellers, tail numbers and tach time, squawks and AOG; a car has a VIN and an odometer; a home has no meters at all, just chores and attention items. The fields, the words, and the schedule come with the type. Start with a recommended schedule Each type ships a starter pack: the annual, ELT, transponder and pitot-static checks for an airplane; oil changes, tire rotation and brake fluid for a car; HVAC filters, gutters and water-heater flush for a house. Keep what applies, skip what doesn't, edit anything later. Recommendations, not authority — your manufacturer's manual is the source of truth. Never miss a due date Recurring tasks track by calendar time, by meter — engine hours, odometer, ride distance — or on condition. OVERDUE and DUE SOON items surface at the top of every list. Log issues the moment you spot them Squawks on an airplane, issues on a car, attention items at home — record what's wrong, track it to resolution, and let anything that grounds the airplane or takes the car off the road jump to the top. Keep a real history Every piece of work is logged against the Thing it belongs to, with a summary of counts and current readings — for a pre-buy inspection, an annual, a resale, or handing the keys to a new owner. Attribute work to the right person Keep a roster of the people who work on your things — an A&P, an ASE mechanic, an electrician, or yourself — with their certifications, and attach their sign-offs to the work they performed. Attach the paperwork Photos and documents — logbook pages, invoices, inspection reports, receipts — attach directly to the record they belong to. Export anytime Generate PDF, CSV, and XLSX exports for one Thing or all of them, optionally filtered by date, in a single download. Email a copy to yourself, your mechanic, or a buyer. Built to feel like an instrument, not a spreadsheet A calm blue palette, clear status colors, and monospaced technical data so identifiers and readings are always easy to scan. No clutter, no hunting through menus. One app, every screen size The same interface adapts from phone to tablet to the web — a focused single-column view in your pocket, a full sidebar and multi-pane layout on a bigger screen. YOUR DATA, BACKED UP AND UNDER YOUR CONTROL Sign in with Google or Apple and your records are backed up to the cloud and kept in sync across phone, tablet, and the web. Prefer to work fully offline? SquawkIt keeps working; sync picks up the moment you're back online. Your records are yours. We don't sell your data, and you can export a complete copy at any time. A NOTE ON CERTIFIED RECORDS SquawkIt is a personal convenience tool — it doesn't replace the official aircraft logbooks required by your aviation authority, or any other record you're required to keep. Treat SquawkIt's exports as backups and snapshots, not the legal source of truth. WHO IT'S FOR Aircraft owners tracking inspections and squawks. Mechanics managing sign-offs across a shop's worth of aircraft. Anyone who owns a car, a boat, a bike, or a house and wants to stop finding out about maintenance the expensive way. Every Thing speaks its own language
Pick what you're maintaining and SquawkIt adapts: an airplane has an airframe, engines and propellers, tail numbers and tach time, squawks and AOG; a car has a VIN and an odometer; a home has no meters at all, just chores and attention items. The fields, the words, and the schedule come with the type.
Start with a recommended schedule
Each type ships a starter pack: the annual, ELT, transponder and pitot-static checks for an airplane; oil changes, tire rotation and brake fluid for a car; HVAC filters, gutters and water-heater flush for a house. Keep what applies, skip what doesn't, edit anything later. Recommendations, not authority — your manufacturer's manual is the source of truth.
Never miss a due date
Recurring tasks track by calendar time, by meter — engine hours, odometer, ride distance — or on condition. OVERDUE and DUE SOON items surface at the top of every list.
Log issues the moment you spot them
Squawks on an airplane, issues on a car, attention items at home — record what's wrong, track it to resolution, and let anything that grounds the airplane or takes the car off the road jump to the top.
Keep a real history

Attribute work to the right person
Keep a roster of the people who work on your things — an A&P, an ASE mechanic, an electrician, or yourself — with their certifications, and attach their sign-offs to the work they performed.
Attach the paperwork
Photos and documents — logbook pages, invoices, inspection reports, receipts — attach directly to the record they belong to.
