Pretura Horizon

Pretura Horizon is the AI-driven command centre for the emergency department. It predicts what the department is about to face — who will still be occupying a bed, where capacity is going, when surge is building, and what staffing the next hours demand — and puts it on one live board alongside the patients already in front of you and the ambulances already on their way. WHAT IT PREDICTS • Boarding and discharge windows — which beds are likely still occupied hours from now, expressed as windows rather than false-precision clock times, so capacity planning starts before the crunch instead of during it. • Capacity forecasting — projected bed availability as census, discharges and inbound volume move. • Surge index — a five-level read on department pressure, Green through Black for disaster and mass-casualty conditions, recomputed continuously as census, boarding and inbound EMS change. • Staffing demand — predicted load ahead of the shift, so the charge desk is staffing to what is coming rather than to what already happened. • Admission likelihood — early signal on which arrivals are heading upstairs. BOARDING, MEASURED THE WAY CMS WILL Horizon computes boarding intervals aligned to the CMS ED capability measure(ECAT), not a locally invented stopwatch. The same numbers that drive the board are the ones that support your reporting, so operational management and regulatory measurement stop being two different spreadsheets. BUILT FOR THE WHOLE DEPARTMENT Medical and ED directors, charge nurses, physicians, nurses, technicians and department administrators each sign in to a home view scoped to their role — department-wide status and throughput for leadership, beds and flow and staffing for the charge desk, clinical priorities and inbound activations for physicians, assignments and prep for nurses, turnover and room readiness for technicians. ALSO ON THE BOARD • Live patient board, with pre-arrival reports from EMS crews appearing as they are transmitted from the field. • Bed status and assignment — occupancy, availability and pending cleans. • Consults, secure clinician messaging and video consults. • Alert history — a durable record of what was raised, when, and to whom. CONNECTS TO YOUR EHR, NOT TO ONE VENDOR'S Pretura Horizon is EHR-agnostic by design: one vendor-neutral FHIR R4 adapter layer with profiles for the major electronic health record systems, and HL7 v2 ADT and ORU accepted over MLLP with no version lock. Your vendor's adapter is validated against its sandbox during pilot onboarding. SECURITY AND PRIVACY Access is per-facility and role-based, every read and write of patient data is recorded to an append-only audit trail, and data is isolated per health system. Screen capture is blocked inside the app so patient information never reaches the camera roll. Pretura Health operates as a business associate under HIPAA and signs a BAA with each customer. Pretura Horizon is a professional (B2B) tool for hospital and health-system teams. It requires an account issued by your organisation and is not available for individual sign-up. It is not intended for patients. Predictive output is investigational: it is decision support for qualified staff, is not cleared or approved by any regulator, and is never a substitute for clinical judgement. Where a prediction cannot be made honestly, Horizon withholds it and says why rather than showing a reassuring default. Patent pending.
