About
What's the weather in your garden today? The Feeling Forest is a gentle daily ritual for a child and a grown-up to do together. Your child picks today's weather — sunny, rainy, stormy, windy, foggy, calm, starry, or rainbow — and a friend from Bamboo Hollow answers in their own recorded voice. Then you talk it through, one small step at a time: notice the feeling, wonder why it's here, give it a name. Some days are sunny. Some days are stormy. Every kind of weather is okay. THE FRIENDS Pippy, Pat, Mona, and Miles each lead with a different feeling — love, calm, joy, tenderness — and any friend can move through any weather. Your child chooses who to talk with today. THE TOOLBOX After the talk, choose one gentle thing to do together: • Breathe — the Breathing Flower (smell the flower, blow the dandelion), or breathe along with Pippy • The Wiggle Woods — sixteen short movement breaks led by the friends • Forest Sounds — quiet soundscapes from the Hollow to rest with • The Noticing Nook — a five-senses noticing walk • The Kindness Garden — small kindnesses to give to someone today Every visit ends on purpose. The app sends you back to each other, not back to the screen. FOR GROWN-UPS Behind a grown-up gate: how to talk about each kind of weather, a bank of questions to ask aloud, the Five Feeling Skills, breathing and movement settings, and printable pages to color together. MADE TO BE TRUSTED • No accounts, no sign-in, no ads, no purchases • Nothing is collected — not a name, not a photo, not a record of what your child feels • Works completely offline • Every voice is a real person, recorded for this app • Free The Feeling Forest grew out of The Feeling Forest picture books, where these friends and their weather first appeared. It's built on the five research-backed skills of emotional intelligence — noticing a feeling, understanding it, naming it, expressing it, and steadying it — practiced the way young children learn best: with a grown-up, in conversation, a little each day.
