Check-in Chat helps children stay connected with family and parent-approved friends. Kids get a colorful place to chat, while parents get tools to guide their child’s communication. PARENT-APPROVED CONNECTIONS Children can message only people their parent has added or approved. There are no public chat rooms, random matches, or public user searches. SIMPLE CHILD SIGN-IN Parents create their child’s profile and connect their device with a one-time Check-in Code. Children don’t need a phone number or password. SAFETY CHECKS, EXPLAINED OPENLY Automated safety checks can flag potentially concerning messages and alert parents. Children can learn how these checks work through an in-app safety explanation. Automated checks may miss issues or make mistakes and do not replace parental supervision. TOOLS FOR PARENTS Review safety alerts, manage keyword watchlists, view daily conversation summaries and communication trends, and manage approved contacts from the parent dashboard. FRIENDSHIPS BOTH FAMILIES APPROVE Children can exchange friend codes, but both families must approve the connection before a chat can begin. WAYS TO ASK FOR HELP Children can report messages and block contacts who make them uncomfortable. PRIVACY DESIGNED FOR FAMILIES No advertising or third-party behavioral tracking. Parents manage their family’s account and can request deletion of family account data. A parent or guardian must create and manage each child’s account. Children cannot sign up independently.
