About

A game is ten songs. Each song is played without any information. Everyone listens to it and guesses the year it came out, and you score points for how far off you were. It's scored like golf: perfect guess is zero, and the lowest total after ten rounds wins. TWO WAYS TO PLAY Local play is everyone using one phone. One person keeps score and types the guesses in, or you pass the handset around and let people enter their own. Online play gives everyone their own screen. The host's lobby shows a join code, plus a share button that sends an invite link. Nobody has to be in the same room, or even the same country. YOUR MUSIC, OR OURS Play straight away from the built-in song library — nothing to connect, nothing to set up. Connect Apple Music to hear whole tracks instead of thirty-second previews (requires an Apple Music subscription). Or link a self-hosted music server. If you run Plex or Navidrome, games can draw rounds from everything you own, one playlist, or a single artist — your own records, your own deep cuts, and songs no streaming catalogue would ever have served you. TUNE THE DIFFICULTY • Preview mode — everyone hears the same thirty-second clip. Harder to place, and fair on players without a subscription. • Release year range — keep all ten songs inside a decade you want to argue about, or leave it open. HOW SCORING WORKS Within seven years, it's one point per year off — three years out costs three. Past that the scale flattens to seven plus the square root of the years beyond, so missing by forty instead of thirty barely matters. One wild guess shouldn't decide a whole game, but a careless one still should. No account, no sign-up, no email address. Open it and play.Read more
