VeteranOS is a migraine and headache tracker built for one job the general-purpose apps do not do: turning what you live through into evidence a VA rater will recognize. Every screen exists to answer something a VA rater will actually ask. THREE TAPS, MID-ATTACK Tap Log from any screen, answer whether the attack was prostrating, and save. Everything else — severity, triggers, duration, notes, photos — is optional and can be added later. Attack Mode is a black, voice-first screen for when you cannot look at a display. "Prostrating" is the word the VA's own criteria turn on (38 CFR § 4.124a, Diagnostic Code 8100). It means you had to stop and lie down. VeteranOS asks every time, because a rater will. Export raw CSV or JSON too. Built entirely on your device. A COACH THAT RUNS ON YOUR PHONE Ask questions in plain English. The Coach uses Apple's on-device foundation model — your questions and your logs are never sent to us, to Apple's servers, or to any AI company. There is no cloud model behind it. It answers with "may qualify," never "you qualify," because only the VA decides. THE MATH, SHOWN VA combined ratings are not additive: 50% and 30% do not make 80%. VeteranOS implements the § 4.25 combined-ratings table and the § 4.26 bilateral factor and shows its work. Alongside the log you also get rating, back pay and SMC calculators, eligibility screeners, and a benefits explorer covering federal programs plus all 50 states and DC. Entries we have not yet checked line by line against the statute say so, in plain language, instead of inventing a citation. App Lock keeps your records behind Face ID. NO ACCOUNT. NO SERVER. NO TRACKING. There is no sign-up, because there is nothing to sign up to. No analytics SDK, no advertising, no third-party telemetry. Your logs live in an encrypted database on your device. That also means a lost phone means lost logs. Use Settings → Export regularly.
