About

GENUINELY TERRIBLE BRIEFS Every ad campaign starts with a brief. This is where they go to die. You will be handed a truth nobody asked for, a need state nobody has, a campaign type nobody wanted, an idea nobody vetted, and a feeling nobody can define — and your one job is to assemble them into something that could plausibly get greenlit. It cannot. That is the point. Then it goes to review. Thirteen seats are watching. Some are fixed, some rotate in, one of them can kill your idea outright and will visibly enjoy it. The Chief Executive will find a way to mention the share price. The Chief Communications Officer will not say no — she will simply ask who has seen this. The EVP of Performance Marketing will ask for the CPA on something that does not have one. Nobody on this panel agrees with each other. None of them are wrong. Survive the panel and a director from the floor claims your idea into their own territory anyway. That is just how it works here. HOW TO PLAY Jump ball — solo. You build the brief, the panel reacts, and you find out exactly how bad your instincts are. Pass & Play — local multiplayer, one device. Pass it around the table and let everyone take a turn ruining their own brief in front of the group. Pick your spiciness: Boardroom keeps it safe for work (still cruel). 18+ After Dark does not. No legal review whatsoever. Four ways of working — from "As discussed" to "No bad ideas" — control how much of the brief you actually get to choose versus how much gets decided for you. Which, in this industry, is usually the more accurate simulation. REVIEW ENGINE Play entirely offline, for free, forever. The panel's verdicts, notes, and every stakeholder reaction run on local logic — no account, no network connection, no waiting around. Want your panel a little less predictable? Genuinely Terrible Briefs Pro (auto-renewing monthly subscription) hands review duty to an AI reviewer that reads your actual submission and writes fresh notes, scores, and a short fictional ad-spot for your brief — the deadpan performance review your work always deserved, generated new every time. No account required to play, ever. Your name is stored on your device only. Nobody is emailing you, because nobody asked for your email in the first place. Bring your own terrible ideas. The panel will handle the rest. Terms of Use (EULA): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/ Privacy Policy https://www.genuinelyterriblebriefs.com/privacy/Read more
