About
Most of learning to fly happens on the ground. Preflight Kit is twelve flight-computer tools, each on a single screen, for the kitchen table the night before the lesson. Free for seven days, then £6.99 once, no subscription. Work a heading, a fuel figure or a crosswind as many times as it takes for it to stop being hard. There's no exercise sheet and no timer, and you get as many goes as you want. CHANGE ONE NUMBER, WATCH IT MOVE. Swing the wind round the compass and the drift changes sides. Push the crosswind past the limit and the verdict turns red. Put a fourth person in and the centre of gravity walks toward the edge of the envelope. TWELVE MODULES PLAN • PLOG — headings, times and legs for the whole route • Fuel — the minimum you must carry and the margin you actually have • Takeoff & landing — your POH figure taken through the CAA safety factors, with a verdict against the runway you have • Climb & descent — top of climb, top of descent, and the rate to fly WIND & AIR • Wind Star — drift and groundspeed for every track, on one dial • Wind Finder — the wind's speed and direction, read back from the drift you're seeing • Crosswind — head and cross split, against the limit • Air & altitudes — pressure altitude, density altitude and TAS IN THE AIR • Time · Speed · Distance — any two give the third • Diversion — new heading and new time, in seconds • Back on track — the 1-in-60 correction, drawn • Holding pattern — entry sector, drift headings and the outbound time THE AEROPLANE YOUR SCHOOL FLIES. Pick your type (Cessna 150M, 152, 172N, or the PA-28-161 Warrior II) and its book figures arrive already entered, checked against the POH. Add the registration and the empty weight off the school's schedule and you're ready before the next lesson. • Weight & balance with a live envelope: load it, and the point moves inside the shape • V-speeds reference card for the type • A drawing of the aeroplane, so you know you picked the right one THE SMALL THINGS. Kilograms to pounds, litres to gallons, feet to metres, knots, Celsius, hectopascals. Drag to scrub, no keyboard. Set your fuel reserve rules once, for day and night. Haptics on every verdict. IT COMES FLYING WITH YOU. Everything you practised at the table is there on the kneeboard. Diversion works a new heading in seconds. The 1-in-60 correction draws itself. Nothing is buried in a menu, because in the air you have no spare hand for menus. IT WORKS WITH NO SIGNAL. No account, no sign-in, no advertising. It runs in the club house, in the hangar and in the air, and nothing leaves your phone: not your route, not your aeroplane, not your figures. Preflight Kit is an instructional tool for pilots. Its figures are yours to check against the POH, the AIP and the current charts. You remain in command. Something wrong, or a type you'd like carried? support@cloudberrix.comRead more
