About

Todo for Home Assistant is the fast, native way to manage the to-do lists in your own Home Assistant — shopping lists, packing lists, chores, wish lists, anything. It talks directly to your instance over its WebSocket API and works with Home Assistant's built-in Local To-do lists (the local_todo integration), so your lists stay exactly where your smart home already lives. Nothing is stored on anyone else's servers. Don't run Home Assistant, or just want a quick list on your phone? It works fully on its own too — create on-device lists with no account at all, then connect Home Assistant whenever you want to sync them across your devices. Signing in takes one tap with your own Home Assistant account in a secure window — no separate accounts to create and no access tokens to copy by hand. Prefer a long-lived access token? You can use one of those instead. FEATURES • Works with or without Home Assistant — create on-device lists with no account at all • Create, rename, delete, reorder, and hide lists • Add, edit, complete, and delete items in a tap • Set notes and due dates on any item • Drag to reorder items — the new order syncs back to Home Assistant • Move an item to another list without losing it • Share any list as Markdown — copy it or use the native share sheet • Quick-add sheet that sits right above the keyboard for fast entry • Smart suggestions: start typing and re-add things you've bought before with one tap • Give any list an emoji icon just by putting an emoji in its name • Clear all completed items at once WORKS OFFLINE Out shopping with no signal? Keep going. The app caches your lists and queues every change — new items, edits, completions, even brand-new lists — and syncs them automatically the moment you're back online. If someone else changed the same list while you were away, conflicting changes are reconciled cleanly so you never clobber each other's edits. PRIVACY FIRST This app connects only to the Home Assistant instance you configure. Your lists, your login, and your data go to your server and nowhere else. There are no ads, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. REQUIREMENTS None to get started — create on-device lists and use every feature right away, no account needed. To sync your lists across devices, connect your own Home Assistant instance with one or more local to-do lists (the built-in Local To-do / local_todo integration) that this app can reach over your network. It is built for these local lists; read-only or third-party to-do integrations that don't support editing won't offer the full set of actions. The app is a client for your Home Assistant — it is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Home Assistant project or the Open Home Foundation.Read more
