About
The tide is out. Everything the sea buried is still down there. Driftline is a metal detecting game. You sweep a coil over wet sand, listen to the signal climb, and dig. Most of the time it's a bottle cap. SWEEP, THEN DIG Walk the coil with the stick. The meter climbs as you close on something and the tone tightens with it. When it screams, hold DIG and scoop the sand out. The hole is real — keep going until it is deeper than whatever is down there. SEVENTEEN THINGS TO FIND Pennies, dimes, quarters, an old key. A silver ring, a wristwatch, a locket, a message in a bottle. A gold ring, a doubloon, a pocket watch. And rarely — an emerald pendant, a gold cross, or a whole pirate cache. Also bottle caps, pull tabs and rusty nails. A great many of them. That is the tax you pay for the rest. THE TIDE IS THE CLOCK The good finds sit in the wet strip closest to the water, which is exactly the strip the sea reclaims first. Every day the tide climbs higher than the last. Whatever you have not dug by then goes back under the sand. UPGRADE THE DETECTOR Spend what you dig up. A wider coil sweeps more ground at once. A deeper one reads targets that are simply invisible to you now. And the filter starts naming a find before you commit to digging it — which is how you stop wasting a falling tide on pull tabs. Five tiers on every track. DUG SAND STAYS DUG The beach is a real surface, not a backdrop. Every scoop carves it, and your holes stay until the tide smooths them overnight. Wet sand darkens and turns glossy where the water reached. Foam fizzes along the edge of the swash. The beach, the waves, the surf and the detector's tone are all generated as you play, so the whole game runs offline, anywhere, with no network at all. The tide is out. Everything the sea buried is still down there.
Driftline is a metal detecting game. You sweep a coil over wet sand, listen to the
signal climb, and dig. Most of the time it's a bottle cap.
SWEEP, THEN DIG
Walk the coil with the stick. The meter climbs as you close on something and the
tone tightens with it. When it screams, hold DIG and scoop the sand out. The hole
is real — keep going until it is deeper than whatever is down there.
SEVENTEEN THINGS TO FIND
Pennies, dimes, quarters, an old key. A silver ring, a wristwatch, a locket, a
message in a bottle. A gold ring, a doubloon, a pocket watch. And rarely — an
emerald pendant, a gold cross, or a whole pirate cache.
Also bottle caps, pull tabs and rusty nails. A great many of them. That is the tax
you pay for the rest.
THE TIDE IS THE CLOCK
The good finds sit in the wet strip closest to the water, which is exactly the
strip the sea reclaims first. Every day the tide climbs higher than the last.
Whatever you have not dug by then goes back under the sand.
UPGRADE THE DETECTOR
Spend what you dig up. A wider coil sweeps more ground at once. A deeper one reads
targets that are simply invisible to you now. And the filter starts naming a find
before you commit to digging it — which is how you stop wasting a falling tide on
pull tabs. Five tiers on every track.
DUG SAND STAYS DUG
The beach is a real surface, not a backdrop. Every scoop carves it, and your holes
stay until the tide smooths them overnight. Wet sand darkens and turns glossy
where the water reached. Foam fizzes along the edge of the swash. The beach, the
waves, the surf and the detector's tone are all generated as you play, so the
whole game runs offline, anywhere, with no network at all.
NO ADS, NO SUBSCRIPTION
Play free for as long as you like. One optional purchase opens Wreck Cove — a
basalt cove under heavy weather with a broken hull half-buried in black sand,
where the odds shift hard toward the good tiers. It also unlocks the top two tiers
of every detector upgrade, and Free dig: no tide, no clock, sweep as long as you
want. One payment, once.
