About

Turn any video into real motion data — right on your iPhone. VidMoLyze is built for physics and math classrooms. Record a dropped ball, a rolling cart, a pendulum, or any motion you want to study, then calibrate, track, and export clean position, velocity, and acceleration data — ready for Excel, Google Sheets, or Python. HOW IT WORKS • Record with a locked shutter speed for crisp, trackable frames • Calibrate using a known real-world measurement (like a meter stick) in your shot • Set your origin and axes to match your desired coordinate system • Track your object frame-by-frame with precise manual placement- zoom in for accuracy • Export a clean CSV data file — frame, time, position, velocity, and acceleration for every point BUILT FOR THE CLASSROOM Existing motion analysis tools are either locked to a paid app, limited to desktop, or produce exports too messy to use in a normal class period. VidMoLyze is free, works entirely on your device, and gets students from raw video to usable data fast enough to fit inside a single 55-minute class. WHO IT'S FOR Physics and algebra teachers covering kinematics, projectile motion, free fall, circular motion, or terminal velocity — and any student who wants to see the math behind real movement, not just a textbook diagram. VidMoLyze is free to use, supported by a small, non-intrusive ad. If you find it useful, you can support further development by making a donation at ko-fi.com/michaelw805 (there is a link in the (i) About page in the app.Read more
