About
Your wine journey starts at the list, not the label. Every pick is made by Claude, Anthropic's AI — reading the actual list in front of you. The client dinner where the list lands in front of YOU. The list is an iPad, two hundred bottles long, and the server is waiting. You're expensing it — so it can't be the cheapest, and it really can't be the most expensive. The anniversary where this one choice has to land. PHOTOGRAPH THE LIST One page or four — a folded card, a bound book, a QR menu. Every wine on it gets read, not just the one you point a camera at. Found the list before you go? Share the photo into the app and walk in already decided. ONE BOTTLE, AND A SENTENCE YOU CAN SAY A single pick comes back with its region, its pedigree, its vintage's reputation, and where it sits on this list for value — phrased to say aloud at the table without rehearsing. Two alternates come with it: one safer and cheaper, one a step up, each with its own reason. Set the sentence to your own voice — short or generous, refined or friendly. Set a price range too, in whatever currency you keep in your head: bottles inside it come first, and the ones above it are still read, still scored, honestly labelled. A preference, never a filter. THE RECEIPTS ARE ON THE CARD What the wine goes for online, what this room is charging, and the gap between the two — with the source of the online price, on the card, not buried. Tap through and every wine is plotted against its own online range, so the bottles this room marked up hardest are visible at a glance. Sort the whole list by value, or by price. MARK THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY The bottle you didn't order tonight keeps its evidence — the room's price, the online range, the reading — for the day you finally do. THE DIARY, AND THE PORTRAIT IT BECOMES What you order goes into a private diary: the wine, the room, the price, your verdict. Enough nights and it opens into a portrait — the shapes you score highest, what you actually spend, and what the rooms you eat in actually charge. It lives in your own iCloud. We never see it, and there is no account to create. Once it exists, that portrait works for you: a pick near your own shape says so on the card, and which of your bottles it's near. WHAT IT WILL NOT DO It is not a sommelier and does not pretend to be one. When a wine has no source worth trusting, it says so instead of inventing a rating or a price. Lines it could not read are counted and shown, never quietly dropped. Online prices are references, not promises. A reading that fails is never counted against you. SOMMELIER DIARY PRO Reading a NEW wine list is the only thing that is metered. Everything already on this phone — your diary, marked bottles, portrait, and the last list you read — stays open, works offline, and keeps working after a subscription ends. Nothing is held back if you cancel. Record what you ordered and half a reading comes back, for the first three records each month, while anonymous statistics are on. The switch is in Settings. 1-week free trial where eligible, up to 3 list readings. Then, Sommelier Diary Pro is a monthly or yearly subscription with 3 list readings a month. If you need more, Scan Pack 5 is a subscriber-only one-off purchase of 5 readings that do not expire at month's end. Prices are shown in the app before purchase in your local currency. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically at the same price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the end of the current period. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when a subscription is purchased. Manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your Apple Account settings. One page or four — a folded card, a bound book, a QR menu. Every wine on it gets read, not just the one you point a camera at. Found the list before you go? Share the photo into the app and walk in already decided.
ONE BOTTLE, AND A SENTENCE YOU CAN SAY
A single pick comes back with its region, its pedigree, its vintage's reputation, and where it sits on this list for value — phrased to say aloud at the table without rehearsing.

MARK THE ONES THAT GOT AWAY

THE DIARY, AND THE PORTRAIT IT BECOMES
What you order goes into a private diary: the wine, the room, the price, your verdict. Enough nights and it opens into a portrait — the shapes you score highest, what you actually spend, and what the rooms you eat in actually charge. It lives in your own iCloud.
