Remember the conversation, even when you cannot remember the exact words. What They Said helps you record or import audio, create searchable transcripts, and find relevant moments using your own words. RECORD OR IMPORT Record in the app, pause and resume, play back your audio, and export a local copy. Choose when to upload it for transcription. You can also import audio from Files or share it from Voice Memos. Recording pauses when the app enters the background or an interruption occurs. ORGANIZE YOUR LIBRARY Create categories and assign up to four to a recording. Search across your library, within selected categories, or among uncategorized recordings. FIND THE MOMENT Describe what you remember. Open a result to read transcript context and play from its timestamp. Adjust result limits and matches per recording, and load another page when more results are available. PLANS AND CREDITS Get started with 60 transcription minutes and 120 searches. Choose a monthly plan or buy one-time credit packs. Minutes and searches are separate balances, and your search allowance can be used across your existing recordings. Personal: 60 minutes and 120 searches per month. Plus: 180 minutes and 360 searches per month. Pro: 400 minutes and 800 searches per month. Unused subscription minutes and searches reset each billing period with no rollover. One-time packs add credits that do not expire: Mini 30 minutes and 60 searches; Small 100 and 200; Medium 300 and 600; Large 700 and 1,400. Monthly allowances are used before permanent credits. Each completed new search uses one search, including when there are no matches. Loading cached result pages and retrying the same request do not charge again; failed searches return their reserved credit. There are no automatic overage charges. Eligible existing accounts retain their unmetered search access until their first subscription or credit pack purchase. That purchase permanently switches the account to the included search allowances. The app explains this before purchase. Prices appear in your App Store currency before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically each month unless canceled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Payment is charged to your Apple Account. Manage or cancel in Apple's subscription settings. Deleting your What They Said account does not cancel an Apple subscription. Change your password, manage sessions, withdraw AI consent, and delete recordings or your account in the app. Local recordings upload only when you choose.
