About

Read the world's wisdom texts in the words they were written in — the Bhagavad Gītā in Sanskrit, the Tao Te Ching in Chinese, Heraclitus in Greek — each beside a careful translation, and walk them as guided paths, one gate at a time. Pratibhā is a contemplative companion for slow reading. Not summaries, not quotes on a background: the texts themselves, in their own scripts, with the layers you need to understand them. THE LIBRARY • 3,891 passages from 62 works across 16 traditions • Upaniṣads, the Gītā, Yoga Sūtras, Kashmir Śaiva tantras, the Dhammapada, Heart and Diamond Sūtras, Zhuangzi, Rumi's Mathnawī, Meister Eckhart, the Cloud of Unknowing, Marcus Aurelius, Plotinus, Yoruba and Dakota voices, and more • The original script, a transliteration, the translation and commentary for each passage, set one above the other • Every work has its own mandala GUIDED PATHS • 37 paths and 287 gates through the teachings — from the Gītā on action without contraction, to Kashmir Śaivism's recognition of awareness • Each gate gives you one idea, a common misunderstanding, the passage it rests on, a practice to try and a question to write about • You pass a gate by recalling what it pointed at, not by scrolling past it THE LEXICON • 77 key terms across traditions — ātman, dharma, spanda, wu wei — with etymology, senses and where each one appears • Flashcards by language, for study that sticks YOUR MANUSCRIPT • Keep the passages that stay with you, and write beside them • A journal for reflections, kept with the passage that prompted them ASK • Ask a question about any passage and get an answer grounded in the text itself (needs a free account) Reading, the library, the lexicon, the journal and the manuscript are free, with no account needed. The whole corpus is on your phone and works offline. PRATIBHĀ SUPPORT The first step of every guided path is free.
