About
You don't want to learn a language. You want to speak it. Maybe you are starting from zero. Maybe you studied for years and still freeze when it is your turn. Maybe you tried the apps and never got near a conversation. Different starting points, the same two things in the way: the nerves when it is your turn to talk, and a life with no room for a class. What you want is the same either way. The dinner where everyone switches to Spanish and you are in the conversation instead of next to it. The trip where you order and get invited. If you grew up hearing Spanish but not speaking it, the you that finally answers back. THE WOLFF METHOD Most language apps are built around one idea and sell it as the whole answer. Flashcards. Immersion only. Talk to a bot and you are done. None is the whole answer. The Wolff Method takes the best of what is known about how a language sticks, puts it in the order memory actually works, and runs it with a personal trainer who knows you. Three stations, at your own pace: Expose, Explain, Experience. EXPOSE. You open the app and watch. Short videos and stories in real Spanish, some of them above your level on purpose, because that is how real life talks to you. Nothing is hidden by level. Every post was made from a lesson, so tap it and the lesson that explains it is right there. EXPLAIN. A session with your trainer, in your language, that builds out from what you already know, one piece at a time. A couple of minutes on why it is "lo veo" and not "veo lo", then back to the real thing. When you get something wrong the sentence is taken apart and rebuilt with you, not marked wrong. Any phrase you run into anywhere, send it to your trainer and get it explained, not just translated. EXPERIENCE. Practice is suggested, never forced. When you are ready you speak, on a ladder that takes the edge off one rung at a time. First a role play: a scene partner who only speaks Spanish, your trainer beside the scene, nobody else listening. Then a real person in the app who speaks Spanish and is learning English, in a two-person room with your trainer present, so you help each other. Profiles, photos and voice intros are seen only by members inside the app. Then real life, and the word you needed out there becomes your next lesson. YOUR TRAINER A good method means nothing if it does not fit your life. That is what the trainer is for, like a trainer at the gym: someone who knows you, builds the plan, watches how it goes and adjusts. Pick Ares or Iris and talk to them out loud or by text, in your language. They ask why you are learning and who you want to talk to, remember what you own and where you get stuck, and build every session around your life. They encourage first, go at your pace, and let you leave when you need to. Between sessions they prepare what comes next, so you come back to a plan. The goal is being understood, not sounding like a native. Your accent is not a defect. NO TEST. NO LEVEL LOST. No exam to pass, no level to earn back. Your level is a circle that grows with the time you put in, drawn across the three stations so you can see where your time went. A short side is an invitation, never a grade. After every lesson the app asks one question, how did it fit, and that decides what comes next. It never moves you backwards. It tells you what you did, never what you know. Versions
- Version 1.2.1First seen · 28 Sept 2026
This update adds a big batch of new beginner audio lessons, for Spanish speakers learning English and English speakers learning Spanish, each followed by a practice round. Your review is now one list that plays what is most overdue first. When you tell us how a lesson fit, that lesson is done, and coming back later no longer sends you to its ending screen. Reviews now load reliably after a long pause. Plus smaller fixes throughout.
