About
One safe door. Complete evidence. No cheating — ever. False Door is a puzzle campaign about noticing. In every chamber, several doors wait and only one is safe. The signs, the footprints, the torches, the words spoken over the threshold — the proof is always in the room, and the clock is always running. When you fall, the game shows you the evidence again. The feeling we built for is "I should have noticed that," never "the game cheated." THE LAMP RULE Your guide is the Caretaker, and the Caretaker lies. But one law binds him: he lies only while his crimson warning lamp burns. When it is dark, every word is true. Seven regions bend this light into new puzzles — the law itself never changes. A CAMPAIGN THAT ENDS One hundred doors to the truth — a finite, authored journey across castle keeps, a bell quarter, gothic aisles, a tomb of names, drowned quays, a lighthouse stair, and the sea where the Caretaker hides. The exact count of doors remaining is spoken on the title screen, for your save, every time. No filler, no grind, an ending. THE PARTING Roads fork, and choosing one erases the other from your map — for that journey, forever. The map keeps what you walked: footprints, wax seals, and the roads you gave up. THE JOURNAL A field desk of hand-drawn map leaves and keepsakes pinned with brass pins. Spend what you carried to reopen a road you lost. FOR EVERY CARTOGRAPHER No puzzle here is colour-only or audio-only — every clue has an equivalent you can read. The whole campaign is voiced and the whole campaign is readable: full captions for the Caretaker plus written transcripts for audio clues, VoiceOver support in every chamber, Dynamic Type for larger text, and a Reduce Motion setting that stills decorative movement (drifting skies, candle flicker, door swings) while keeping every story beat. No accounts, no sign-ins. Just doors.Read more

False Door is a puzzle campaign about noticing. In every chamber, several doors wait and only one is safe. THE LAMP RULE
Your guide is the Caretaker, and the Caretaker lies. But one law binds him: he lies only while his crimson warning lamp burns. When it is dark, every word is true. Seven regions bend this light into new puzzles — the law itself never changes.
A CAMPAIGN THAT ENDS
One hundred doors to the truth — a finite, authored journey across castle keeps, a bell quarter, gothic aisles, a tomb of names, drowned quays, a lighthouse stair, and the sea where the Caretaker hides. The exact count of doors remaining is spoken on the title screen, for your save, every time. No filler, no grind, an ending.
THE PARTING
Roads fork, and choosing one erases the other from your map — for that journey, forever. The map keeps what you walked: footprints, wax seals, and the roads you gave up.
THE JOURNAL
A field desk of hand-drawn map leaves and keepsakes pinned with brass pins. Spend what you carried to reopen a road you lost.
FOR EVERY CARTOGRAPHER
No puzzle here is colour-only or audio-only — every clue has an equivalent you can read. Just doors.
