About

B3 Mobile App Connect connects your work phone or tablet to your organization's IT support team. Enter the enrollment code your IT provider gives you, and your device registers itself in your organization's asset inventory. From then on it checks in automatically in the background, so your IT team always has current information about the device — without anyone needing to chase you for it. GETTING STARTED 1. Open the app and enter the enrollment code from your IT provider. 2. That's it. Your device is enrolled and begins checking in automatically. You only need to do this once. If your organization deactivates the device later, the app will tell you. WHAT THE STATUS SCREEN SHOWS - Whether your device is enrolled and checking in normally - The date you enrolled and the time of the last successful check-in - How often the device is set to check in - Whether location sharing is currently on - Your device ID, for when support asks for it - Your IT provider's support email and phone number, with one tap to reach them WHAT INFORMATION IS COLLECTED The app reports basic technical details about the device: - Manufacturer, model, and device type - Operating system and version - App version - Processor architecture and core count - Battery level, charging state, and low-power mode - Screen dimensions and pixel density - Network connection type - Language, country, and time zone settings - Whether the device appears to be jailbroken or rooted - An identifier the app generates for the device - The device name you optionally enter when enrolling LOCATION If your IT provider has enabled it, the app can also record where the device is — but only after you allow it, and you are shown a plain-language explanation before the permission is requested. When location is allowed, the app attaches a single last-known position to the check-in it was already making. It does not track your movements and it does not report continuously. You choose how precise the position is when you grant permission, and you can change or turn it off at any time in your device settings. The purpose is narrow: so a lost or stolen company device can be located by the IT provider responsible for it. The position is sent only to the provider who issued your enrollment code. Declining location does not block enrollment and does not affect anything else. The device carries on checking in normally, simply without a position. WHAT IS NOT COLLECTED The app does not read your contacts, photos, messages, email, calendar, files, browsing history, or any other app's data. It does not collect the name of the Wi-Fi network you are on. It does not track what you do on the device, and it cannot control, lock, wipe, or restrict your device in any way. REQUIREMENTS An enrollment code from your IT provider is required. This app is intended for members of organizations that use B3 device check-in — it will not do anything without a code from your provider. Questions about your enrollment should go to your IT provider, whose contact details appear on the app's status screen once you're enrolled.Read more
