Gentoo is the crew app for expedition cruise operators. If your company runs its fleet on Gentoo, this is where your season lives: the voyages you are assigned to, the documents you need on board, the reports you file ashore and the hours you rest at sea. Gentoo is invite-only. You join with an event code or an invitation from your operator, then sign in with Apple, Google or email. ASSIGNMENTS See every voyage you are pencilled on, pending or confirmed, with join and leave dates. Accept or decline a proposed assignment from your phone and your HR team sees the answer straight away. DOCUMENTS Keep passports, certificates, medicals and contracts together. Scan a document with the camera, see which ones your role still needs, and sign your contract on the phone with a tap to place your signature. REST HOURS Log rest and work periods for each day at sea. Gentoo checks them against MLC rest requirements as you go and keeps a copy on the phone until you are back online. REPORTS File tour and hike reports from the field with photos and location. Drafts are saved on the device and sent when you have signal. A separate Speak Up channel lets you raise a concern with your operator, anonymously if you choose. EXPENSES Photograph a receipt, enter the amount in the local currency and submit a claim. Track its status through approval. KIT Tell your operator your sizes and tick off the kit you already own so the right gear is issued at each join. DESTINATION BRIEFINGS Read your operator's landing and site briefings on the phone. Briefings are stored on the device so they open without a connection. POLARIS Ask Polaris, the built-in assistant, about your schedule, your documents or your operator's guidelines and get an answer drawn from your own data. OFFLINE FIRST Ships lose signal. Gentoo caches your season on the device, queues what you change, and syncs when you are back in range. Your data belongs to your operator's Gentoo workspace.
