Interteno

nterteno is a native iPhone and iPad client for your own Plex Media Server, written from scratch in SwiftUI. It brings together the video browsing of Plex, the music engine of Plexamp and the server monitoring of PlexDash or Varys, with an Apple Watch app, CarPlay and a widget. BROWSE & WATCH Home opens with a featured banner you control, then Continue Watching, On Deck, libraries, collections and search. Detail pages carry cast, critic reviews and your own star rating; tap anyone in the cast for their biography, jobs and links. Film and show pages turn cinematic, the backdrop drifting while the trailer plays with sound. Native video auto-skips intro and credit markers, ends an episode on an Up Next card, and adds a sleep timer, "stop after this episode", a Plex Tracks menu for audio and subtitles, and picture-in-picture. Add to your Plex Watchlist and browse Discover. BUILT FOR IPAD Your libraries sit in the sidebar, artwork scales to the screen, and Now Playing turns landscape with synced lyrics beside the controls. TRUE GAPLESS MUSIC Music runs on its own AVAudioEngine player, not a video player. Two decks splice tracks on the render clock for genuinely gapless playback, with crossfade, a 10-band equaliser, ReplayGain levelling, sample-exact seeking on a loudness waveform, and synced lyrics. Choose the streaming quality separately for Wi-Fi and mobile data, from the original file down to 128 kbps, and Now Playing shows what is really decoding: LOSSLESS, HI-RES LOSSLESS, or the MP3 bitrate. Edit the queue, look back at what has played, and ask Siri to play something now or next. LISTEN NOW The music tab opens on a personalised home of recently played and top artists, alongside genre, mood, style and decade radio, Sonic Radio and a random album. Build playlists, share one as a file or link that rebuilds on a friend's server, and find cached music sorted by artist and album. SEE YOUR MUSIC Twenty-eight real-time visualiser styles, from spectrum bars and CRT oscilloscopes to Metal fluid simulations and VU meters, tinted live from your album art. Tap the artwork for an immersive full-screen mode that hides every control. ON YOUR WRIST A standalone Apple Watch app: browse and search playlists, albums, artists and radio, watch video, and stream from your server to headphones or the watch speaker. Send albums across for fully offline runs. OFFLINE & DOWNLOADS Keep films, episodes and music on your iPhone or iPad. Downloads run in the background, finish with the app closed, and ask before carrying on over mobile data. MKV and other video iOS can't play natively downloads as an offline capture and plays back untranscoded. If your server drops, Interteno falls straight into your downloads. SERVER DASHBOARD See your server in real time: active streams, bandwidth, transcode sessions with codec and hardware detail, and live CPU and memory. Open a stream for detail, stop it with a message, or follow the next episode. CARPLAY & CASTING In the car: playlists, albums and artists with cover art and A-Z indexes, full Now Playing integration, and a one-tap Start Radio. At home, cast to any Plex player on your network and the phone becomes a real remote: scrub, set volume, switch audio and subtitle tracks, or take over what is already on. SHARE & KEEP SCORE Share any film, show, album or track as a QR card, and scan one back. Rate anything with stars, from the phone, CarPlay or the watch. Send your listening to ListenBrainz or Libre.fm and your viewing to Simkl. Every screen is built on Liquid Glass. Requires iOS 26 or later, in English or Spanish. Sign in with your Plex account, switch between Plex Home users, or connect straight to a server with a token. No server? Try the built-in demo library. Interteno is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Plex, Inc. A Plex Media Server is required for use with your own media; Plex Pass is not required for any feature in this app.
