About

Team Match brings complete FIE-style fencing team relay management to your iPhone and iPad — from building rosters to running the final bout. CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON Every tournament is set up for foil, épée, or sabre from the start, with dedicated weapon icons throughout the app. TEAM ROSTERS, YOUR WAY Build team rosters by hand, or import them in seconds from a CSV, TSV, or Excel file. A column-mapping screen lets you match your file's actual headers to team name, club, city, country, and fencer details — even if your file uses different column names than expected. Import seed or ranking values alongside your rosters to pre-sort tournament seeding automatically. LIVE RELAY SCORING Score matches bout-by-bout with a built-in 3:00 countdown timer, following the official FIE relay rotation: three fencers per team, nine bouts, running score toward targets of 5, 10, 15 — up to 45 — with every fencer facing all three opponents across the match, exactly as the rules require. A "Bout Completed" card announces the score and the next matchup between legs, and a transpose button flips the display to match your strip's physical orientation. CONDUCT CARDS, DONE RIGHT Issue Yellow, Red, and Black cards to individual fencers, and P-Red / P-Black cards for shared-fault situations — each with the correct FIE consequence: Red penalizes a touch, Black expels the fencer and requires a substitute (or forces a forfeit if none is available), and P-Black ends the match by score or seeding. Multiple infractions per bout are tracked correctly, mistaken cards can be corrected on the spot, and the app enforces FIE Rule t.124.3 (no P-card may be awarded at a tied 44-44). BOUT 9 PRIORITY If the match is level after the final bout, Team Match runs the full FIE priority procedure — an animated random draw, then a one-minute sudden-death period where the first touch wins outright. FAIR SUBSTITUTIONS Swap a fencer into an upcoming bout at any time — substitutions always take effect from the next bout onward, so nobody already on strip is ever displaced mid-bout. TOURNAMENTS: POOLS OR BRACKETS Run round-robin pool play or seeded single-elimination brackets. Set seed order by dragging teams into place or typing exact seed numbers, right up until the schedule is generated — or let imported ranking data suggest the order automatically. Byes are handled automatically for odd team counts. FAIR STANDINGS, EVEN WHEN THINGS GO WRONG If a team must withdraw, its tournament ranking is protected in elimination brackets, or marked DNF and unranked in pool play — never unfairly demoted. Every forfeit, substitution, and card is fully auditable and, where safe to do so, reversible if entered in error. RESULTS, EXPORT, AND PRINT Every tournament and every individual match has a dedicated results screen showing standings, scores, and card history. Share results as a PDF or CSV file directly from the app — the standard iOS share sheet includes AirPrint, so you can print straight from there too. Whether you're running a club night, a regional qualifier, or a full team championship, Team Match keeps the tournament moving and the results accurate.Read more
