LeLau: Private Local AI

LeLau is a private AI that lives on your iPhone. Answers are written on the device from knowledge packs you carry with you, so it keeps working with no signal. There is no LeLau account, advertising, analytics, subscription, or paid pack. SIX PACKS INCLUDED Survival Guide, Medicine, Math & Physics, Chemistry, Food and Legal ship inside the app. Pick one when you start and it is ready in seconds, fully offline. Add the others any time. YOUR OWN PACKS Turn PDFs and pasted notes, or a topic from Wikipedia, into private local packs. Packs are not products: there is no shop, price, paywall, quota, or marketplace. Import, rename, export, and delete them on your device. When the material is not enough, LeLau says so instead of guessing. LOCAL AI, WITH THE MODEL NAMED The included answer engine is Qwen3.5 0.8B and runs on this iPhone, with named embedding and reranking models for search, about 1 GB in total. Settings lists every model with its exact size. For stronger answers, optional models such as Gemma 4 E2B download once from Hugging Face over Tor, only after you approve, and are checked against their SHA-256 fingerprint. Delete any downloaded model in Manage models. LELAU LINK (PREVIEW) Have LM Studio or Ollama on your Mac or PC? LeLau Link uses its bigger models over your Wi-Fi. Your question and the passages your packs found go to your computer; your packs, chats and history never do. When the computer is off, this iPhone answers. ONLINE LOOK-UP, OVER TOR When your packs can't answer, LeLau can look things up. A shortened question, with emails, links, @handles and long numbers removed, goes over Tor to Wikipedia or DuckDuckGo; for weather and prices only a place name, coin or currency pair goes to Open-Meteo, CoinGecko or Frankfurter. Setup explains this on its own screen with the switch on; turn it off there or any time in Settings > Privacy. Every request uses Tor and fails closed instead of falling back to a direct connection. Tor hides your IP from the destination in ordinary operation, but it cannot guarantee anonymity, unlinkability, or resistance to traffic correlation. LeLau uses no third-party AI service. WIDGETS, SIRI AND SHARE Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets open LeLau to a question. Say "Hey Siri, ask LeLau", or select text in any app and choose Ask LeLau from the Share sheet. DEVICE-AWARE BY DESIGN LeLau watches iOS thermal, memory, Low Power Mode and app-lifecycle signals and paces generation, search, indexing and downloads, so heavy work slows or pauses under pressure. Your AI should tell you what runs, where it runs, what is stored, and when a request leaves the device. LeLau puts those facts in the interface.
