About
The chore chart lasted three weeks. The money talk keeps slipping. Tuppence is a chores and allowance app for kids 5 to 18 that teaches money by letting them use it. In amounts small enough to be safe and real enough to matter. Here are the four problems it was built to solve. "I KEEP MEANING TO TEACH THEM ABOUT MONEY" Nobody remembers the lecture. They remember the jar. Tuppence puts the lesson inside something your kid already wants to open, so you are not delivering a talk you keep postponing. Every coin they earn splits into Spend, Save and Give, on a split they choose. Money always has a job before it is spent. "SAVING JUST FEELS LIKE PUNISHMENT TO THEM" Usually it is, because nothing happens while you wait. So we made waiting visibly pay. You set a weekly interest rate, and the Save jar ticks up a little every single day, with a projection of where it is heading. Patience stops being a virtue you talk about and becomes a number that goes up. "THEY WANT EVERYTHING, AND THEY WANT IT NOW" Good. That is the lesson, and right now it is cheap. When a wish costs more than they have, Penny the pig lays both paths out side by side: borrow today and pay a little extra, or keep saving and get there for less. Their call. A kid who has felt that trade-off on a $45 skateboard is a very different 22-year-old. "THE CHORE CHART NEVER LASTS" You set the chores and the allowance. Your kid sees quests. They mark one done, snap a photo if you asked for proof, you approve from wherever you are, and the coins land on their own. No chart on the fridge, no arguing about who did what, no working out what you owe on a Sunday night. AND ONE WE DELIBERATELY DID NOT SOLVE WITH A DEBIT CARD A card assumes a kid already understands money. We think that is the wrong order. Tuppence is the practice ground that comes first, with amounts small enough to be safe. The money still changes hands as cash between you and your kid, the way it always has. WHAT YOU ACTUALLY DO Set the allowance, the interest rate, the loan rules and the giving causes once. After that Tuppence surfaces the few things that need you and stays quiet. Batch approvals, vacation mode, and a co-parent who can share all of it. NOT AN ADULT APP MADE SMALLER Under-13s get a guided world you shape. Teenagers get real agency and an app they will not be embarrassed to open. We collect as little about your kid as we can and still work. What we do collect, we declare: the label runs long because everything is on it, and the section Apple lists first, Data Used to Track You, is empty. No tracking, no ads, no data sold. PRICING A two-week free trial, then one subscription for the whole family. The price follows how many kids you add: $9.99 a month for one kid, up to $19.99 for five. Co-parents are always free. Built by a parent who wanted this to exist. Questions: support@tuppenceapp.com Terms of Use: https://tuppenceapp.com/terms.html Privacy Policy: https://tuppenceapp.com/privacy.htmlRead more

"I KEEP MEANING TO TEACH THEM ABOUT MONEY"
Nobody remembers the lecture. They remember the jar. Tuppence puts the lesson inside something your kid already wants to open, so you are not delivering a talk you keep postponing. Every coin they earn splits into Spend, Save and Give, on a split they choose. Money always has a job before it is spent.
