About
MoonDoku is a Sudoku game built for the end of the day. No clock running out, no streak nagging you at 11pm, no ads waiting between puzzles. Just a board, a quiet sky to solve it under, and something to come back to tomorrow. ONE PUZZLE, EVERY NIGHT — FREE At midnight a new Nightly arrives — the same board for every player, wherever they are. It's the one puzzle a day everyone shares, it takes about as long as a cup of tea, and it's free every night, no account needed. Like every board in the game, it has hints for when it goes stubborn, and matching digits and the row, column and box you're working in light up as you go. EVERY NIGHT BECOMES A STAR Each Nightly you finish places a star in your own sky, and nothing in the game ever takes it away. Night by night your stars join up into constellations — a bell, a mug of cocoa, a crescent moon, a kitten. A figure takes seven stars or more, and each month offers four to choose from. Miss a night and nothing is undone: your drawing waits in the sky for your next star. THE FULL GAME, ONE PURCHASE Want more than one a night? The full game opens five thousand puzzles, from Easy to Expert, graded so a Hard is honestly hard and no board ever needs a guess. One purchase, yours forever — no subscription, nothing recurring, and it works with Family Sharing. NINE WORLDS TO SOLVE IN Rain over a neon bay, moonlight on a quiet sea, sakura in the dark, palms under a neon sun that never sets. Nine painted worlds, gently moving, all included, and you can switch between them mid-puzzle. LOFI AND AMBIENCE, BUILT IN MoonDoku FM plays three stations — chillhop, lo-fi jazz, downtempo — with an ambience mixer over the top: cafe, rain, fireplace, ocean, storm, each at three levels. Start your own music or a podcast and MoonDoku steps aside instead of talking over it. A CAT WHO LIVES HERE There's a cat on the home screen. She blinks, she looks around, her tail flicks, and now and then she looks up when the world outside her window changes. Tap to pet her; press and hold to change her coat — tuxedo, calico, tabby, siamese, a longhaired ragdoll, eight in all — and she keeps it. PLAYS ANYWHERE, ASKS FOR NOTHING The full game's five thousand puzzles live on your iPhone or iPad, so once they're yours they play fully offline — on a plane, on the subway, in a cabin with no bars. (The Nightly is dealt fresh at midnight, so it needs a connection.) No account needed to play. Sign in with Apple or Google if you want your Nightly streak and your sky to follow you between devices, and to see where your Nightly time ranks — and skip it entirely if you don't. Free every night. No ads, no subscriptions, no energy meters, and tonight's puzzle is open to everyone. Built for iPhone, and for iPad in both orientations.Read more

A small fix for “Your sky”: the count of stars and constellations now has a line of its own, and in German, Spanish and Chinese each number stays with its word.
